Prom is right around the corner!! Here is what we have coming up for Prom attendees and family members. Gentleman's Choice will be here with tuxes on Thursday at 3:00 pm. Please meet in the commons to try on your tux. If you cannot be there, please let Ms. Haag or Lisa Solberg so we can get something arranged. Saturday Schedule: Kasey Curry Photography will be set up and ready at 4:45 for pictures. You can come in between 4:45 and 5:30 for photos. ALL JUNIOR prom attendees need to be at the school at 5:30 for a class picture. SENIOR prom attendees will have a class picture at 5:50. Family is welcome to arrive any time after 4:45 to take pictures and find a seat for Grand March. Grand March will start at 6:30 pm with dinner to follow. After dinner, we will return to the gym for the dance until 10:30 when you will be released to change for Post Prom.

The West Harrison K-8 Spring Concert will be Monday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the High School (new) gym. The kids need to be there at 6:45.

Some of our elementary students got to go out this afternoon with glasses on to experience the solar eclipse!!

MS Student Council is selling May Day baskets to be delivered to any staff member or friend you would like to give one too!! The baskets are $1 and being sold thru Friday April 19th. Proceeds will go to the Humane Society.

Good Morning Hawkeye Community, At the March board meeting, the West Harrison School Board approved pursuing a sharing agreement with Missouri Valley CSD for summer baseball and softball. This spring, the district reviewed our enrollment by grade and anticipated participation numbers in grades 8-12. It became clear that sharing was the best option for students to participate this summer. Prior to the meeting, West Harrison explored sharing possibilities with all neighboring schools. All neighboring schools expressed interest in sharing at least one sport. One of the most important factors for neighboring schools as to whether they wanted to share was the impact the combined enrollment would have on the classification of the host school. The board's determination to pursue an agreement with Missouri Valley was based on proximity to the West Harrison building and the fact that Missouri Valley was open to considering baseball and softball, provided a waiver can be obtained through the IGHSAU to stay in class 2A for softball. Preliminary indications are that combined enrollment would not change Missouri Valley's current classification of 2A in baseball. West Harrison will submit the waiver application for softball pending acceptance of a sharing agreement by the Missouri Valley School Board.
