On Monday March 10th, Mrs. Bieler's 8th grade students participated in the National History Day competition. The National History Day program encourages student to develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills in the development of their projects. This year's theme Rights and Responsibilities encouraged students to look back in history and think critically about how events have shaped these two connected ideas. All of the students learned so much this year and we are so proud of all of them. We have 4 students whose projects were noted for their excellence and will advance to the next level of competition in Ames this April. Khloe Smith will be advancing with her paper written on the All American Girls Professional Baseball League and Aiden King, Justin Cooper, and Easton McIntosh will be advancing with their Group Exhibit on Jesse Owens - Running Against the World. Congratulations Hawkeyes!!
