As you know West Harrison and Whiting have shared football for several years. At the end of this past summer, we began talking about the possibility of sharing summer sports in the future. We also looked at our numbers in other sports going forward and discussed the possibility of looking at other sports in the future as well. After their September Board meeting, Whiting reached out to inquire about exploring the sharing of all sports beginning as early as basketball season this year which starts in November. As we consider this possibility we wanted to keep our community informed as to what is being discussed and provide opportunities for the public to provide input. In the attached documents you will find more information as well as several dates when community members are invited to attend, ask questions, and provide input on this topic.
Thank you
Marty Fonley
