Senior Parent Night!

September Board Agenda
https://5il.co/kqc1

Reminder that volleyball parent's night will be before the varsity game on Tuesday, September 8th.

Information about Friday's football game at Glidden.
Glidden-Ralston Outdoor Venue Seating Restrictions:
1. All PK-8th grade students will need to sit with their family
2. We ask that all families practice social distancing both in the bleachers or the sidelines.
3. We will limit the amount of bleacher seating to encourage social distancing.
4. High School students will be asked to stay within their class and social distance if in the bleachers.
5. All attendees are highly encouraged to wear a mask.
6. Admission will be $5.00. We would ask that you have correct change if at all possible.
7. A concession stand will be available.
Please remember that these mitigations are always subject to change.
We would encourage you to stay home and watch the game if you do not have someone directly involved. The game will be livestreamed. Look for the link on our Facebook Page on Friday.

Reminder that the fitness center still requires masks. We have seen, on camera, some members without masks while other people were there. Please adhere to the protocols set up by the state for school related fitness centers. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Hawkeye Families!
This is a reminder of our scheduled 1:30 early out tomorrow, September 2. We know, we know...we just finished a week of early outs! This was already scheduled on our board-approved calendar. Last week was a change made due to COVID. Thank you for all you are doing to support our students.

A couple other reminders:
*Please make sure your child is getting on the bus with a mask. We do have some extras, but they should be used only in emergency and not everyday. Also, remind them to wear the mask throughout the ride. Mrs. Ring will begin sending Bus Conduct Report Letters home this week.
*If your child is too young to be dropped off at their stop alone, please be at the location on time. We do have to stick to our route pickup/drop off times. We cannot leave students unattended and this creates a problem for our drivers.

Happy September! Breakfast and Lunch menus!
Small change for this week:
Wednesday: Taco Salad
Friday: Chicken and Cheddar

Yes! We will have concessions available for volleyball games!
Indoor concessions will be open for volleyball but ONLY PREPACKED foods will be served--nothing hot.

Harrison County Public Health administrator, Brad Brake, visited today for a Q and A with our 7th-12th grade students. Students had some in-depth and thoughtful questions. We feel like we understand the “why” just a bit more, which is so important for teens (and adults)!
All of us on campus, students included, are players on the West Harrison team!
Thank you, Mr. Brake, and HCPH for your support and important work! We appreciate the positive relationship we have built and know that if we do have to work together in the future, it will be a positive collaboration. 🖤🤍❤️

Jr. High football practice will be from 3:30 pm until about 5:00 pm. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The players will be supervised at school until practice time.

Notice to all Hawkeye fans. Homecoming was moved to September 25th and parent's night will be September 11th.

West Harrison will be playing volleyball matches on Tuesday (Aug. 25) in Council Bluffs and on Thursday (Aug. 27th) in Correctionville. Both sites require spectators to wear masks.

What a wonderful first day!
Students, thank you for being part of our team, working together to make our first day back such a success. You were awesome!
Parents and Guardians, thank you for preparing your child to be ready to face the challenges we have this year. They were all so wonderful and truly prepared to get back to work!!
Teachers and staff, THANK YOU for putting in the time to make our return to school such an outstanding success!
We are all a team, working together for our students and each other. Thank you, all!
I promise—more pictures tomorrow!
