Football will have the first official practice at 4pm on Monday, August 8th. Again, be sure to get in your physical, Insurance/concussion forms. Also if you are unable to practice you should still attend to be sure not to miss anything.
Cross Country / Volleyball Info
Coach Michalik would like to start with any High School runners for practice on Monday, August 8th at 8am. This will be a light practice / informational meeting for future practices and communication. Junior High may attend but are optional. Again, to participate you need your physical and insurance/concussion forms turned in. If you don't have these you should still attend practice and watch. This goes for all fall sports at the JH/HS level.

The webpage has been updated with all forms needed in one spot for Athletic participation. If you go to www.westharrison.school and click on "Parents and Students" go down to "Athletic Forms with Concussion" and it should have all you need.
Also today is the last day to order from the Football Gear order. The link is on the website and it closes at 10am.
Football camp will start tonight from 4pm-8pm! If you have your updated physical, insurance waiver, and concussion form you may bring it in. Remember you will not be able to practice until this is in. Your physical from last year will be good for a full year so you may be eligible yet depending on the date you got it last year.
Baseball/Softball Banquet:
The end of year celebration/potluck for baseball and softball will be August 14th at 6pm. Each family is responsible for your plates/silverware/drinks and bring a main dish or dessert to contribute to the potluck. We will hold it in the High School Commons.
Little Hawks Before and After school Kid Care will have 6 openings for the 22-23 school year. You can stop by anytime M-F 630 AM to 530 PM, for a copy of the paperwork that will need to be filled out before your child or children can attend. Due to staffing issues, your child must be potty trained to attend. One more push for chairs Hawkeyes! We have about 10 more chairs available to show support with your family name or business name and we will be able to order! The previous details about the project are as follows:
West Harrison is looking to raise funds to purchase custom chairs for our athletic and activities Department. These chairs would be used for a variety of activities including but not limited to varsity volleyball and basketball games, band/vocal productions, assemblies, programs, youth side scrimmage court seating, ect… The idea of this project is to have families purchase a chair to put their family or business name on to give recognition for your support to Hawkeye Nation. This will be first come first serve while we are only looking to purchase 34-36 chairs for the program. Below is our estimation of the cost for the custom chair/slip idea. Our colors will be similar to the pics on the webpage but have the hawkeye logo on the seat and the front will be the Family/Business name. The back of each chair on the seat cushion from behind will read “Hawkeyes”. Tonights Baseball AND Softball games at Home with Woodbine will be Varsity first at 6:30pm. There is no baseball JV planned due to numbers, the JV softball may or may not play a few innings depending on the heat.
Coach Nunez is retiring after 33 years of coaching baseball!
The West Harrison Athletic Department would like to invite all former players and coaches of Coach Nunez to our Annual Baseball Tournament in Mondamin on June 18. Games start at 9am and we will have a presentation and picture between 12:30-1pm. Former players and coaches will be invited on the field to take a photo for the paper with Coach Nunez. Lets fill the stands with Black and White to show our appreciation for everything Tony has done for the program and also to support our current athletes at their home tournament.

West Harrison Summer Weight Lifting Schedule Change starting June 7th. Girls will have supervision/coaching from 9:00am-10:30am and the Boys have supervision/coaching from 8am-9am and again from 6pm-7pm. Lets have a great summer of attendance Hawkeyes!
