Little Hawks Wrestling has finished for the 2023/2024 season. Thanks to all the youth athletes that worked hard during this years program and to the coaches that worked with them along the way! HAWKEYE PRIDE

West Harrison would like to give a huge congratulations to Maclayn Houston for breaking the career scoring record!! The previous record was held by Jackie Clark at 1,261 points. Jackie broke the record back in 2008. Maclayn broke the record on Monday, February 5th at Boyer when she scored 32 points. Maclayn currently has 1,303 points going into the postseason. She broke this record playing in only 3 seasons. What an accomplishment Maclayn!! Hawkeye Country is so proud of you!!

West Harrison Middle School students are starting their third week of Youth Coding League. Students in grades five and six are learning Scratch programming around the theme of Fashion and Design. Students in grades seven and eight are learning Scratch around the theme of Art. Each week the students complete sprints to learn a part of the programming. The week one sprints have been scored. If you would like to see how the students are doing the links to the scores will be posted below. There are 8 sprints and then a national tournament. The sprints will help the student complete a project for the tournament. The Hawkeyes have filled the marble jar again for good behavior! Stay tuned to find out the special surprise the elementary will be receiving this week! Congratulations to Noah Cox and Hunter Hussing for both going 4-1 at Junior High District Wrestling and qualifying for state. They will wrestle February 24th and 25th in Des Moines. Good Luck Guys! HAWKEYE PRIDE

Student Council is selling Valentine's Day Grams again! Grams available this year are Brach's conversation hearts for $1 or a small assorted box of chocolate for $3. We will be selling grams from January 31st until February 12th. Student Council members will sell grams during middle and high school lunches. Grams will also be available for sale during STEM night on February 12. Payment can also be sent to the office for Ms. Haag and we will get your grams set up for you. If sending payment to school please make sure that you write out who the gram(s) are for and the student's grade level. We will include a personal message if you would like also, just let us know! West Harrison would like to give a shout out to two of our Hawkeye Basketball Girls for breaking records this week!!!! On Monday Jan. 22nd, Tylar Stirtz set a new school record for the Most Blocks in a Single Game with 8 blocks. Then on Thursday Jan. 25th, Maclayn Houston set a new school record for the Most Points Scored in a Single Game with 46 points. Congratulations Tylar and Maclayn!! We are so proud of you!!
