The West Harrison boy's and girl's high school cross country team will be running in the State Qualifying Meet on Thursday, October 21st. The girl's race begins 4:00 pm and the boy's at 4:45 in Panora, IA at 6616 Panorama Rd.

Little Hawks Wrestling Supporters: The Little Hawks wrestling program was started to get kids exposed to the sport and help those that do wrestle throughout the year. We need your help. I know there are some very good ex-wrestlers in our community (whether from West Harrison or not) and I would like to tap into that resource. If you could help out with practices or going to tournaments or anything else to make it a successful program, it would greatly appreciated. I know many of you have families, however, I’m just asking for help on one or maybe two nights a month. If you want to help more, that would be great. I was hoping to have practices two nights a week (starting in November/December) and possibly support at local tournaments. If you are interested you can contact me at home, school, or e-mail. Today's JH volleyball match will be in the HS (west gym) at 4:00 pm. Tuesday's HS volleyball match will be one varsity match starting at 6:00 pm. No JV. It is also "pink out" for cancer awareness.

Golden Hawkeye Nominees and Winners

October 12th we will host Paton Churdan at 6:00 for our Volley for the Cure Pink Out Night. The girls are selling certificates to help with ALL TYPES OF CANCERS. Proceeds will go to Check the Girls out of Dunlap Iowa. Certificates can be turned in to the school with your donation. Certificates will be hung in the school commons. The conference volleyball tournament is Saturday, October 16th.

The conference volleyball tournament this Saturday has been moved from E/EHK to CAM (Anita). The first match starts at 9:30 am.

Tuesday's home volleyball match against Paton Churdan will start at 6:00 pm. It will be one varsity match- no JV. Also, West Harrison's first round regional volleyball match will be on October 18th at Dunlap vs. Boyer Valley at 7:00 pm.

Hello Junior and Senior Students and Parents! This is to notify you of a change in the end of the day schedule for your 11th/12th grade student. It has also been sent to families via email. Beginning Tuesday, 10/12, if the student is not on the weekly progress report (no D+, D, D-, or F in any class) AND are not requested by a teacher to come to their room to finish something or get extra help, they may leave school early. This would be after checking in for attendance at 3:05 pm. If the student meets these requirements (not on progress report AND not needed by a teacher), they can choose to leave early. Students MUST leave the school grounds, however. They may not hang out in the parking lot or elsewhere on grounds as this poses a supervision risk. This applies ONLY to Tuesday-Friday typically. There may be a day here and there where their attendance is required due to other plans made by the school. Students will be notified of this as necessary.
