Last week Haylee Kjeldgaard came to speak with our students about her engineering job at HGM in Council Bluffs. It was a great learning experience for our students!

The third grade class finished their Norse mythology unit in literacy. As an end of the unit activity, the class is taking a 5-day Viking journey from Vinland to Scandinavia. Today, the class learned about a long-ship. They described what a long-ship looks like and drew a picture of a long-ship. Then they used themselves to construct a long-ship, complete with a mast and a scary dragon head to terrify any enemies.
